Easter - Then and Now

When I was growing up, Easter wasn’t just about baskets with chocolate bunnies and Reese’s eggs, it was about clothes - little dresses, sometimes with matching coats and hats. They were very special Easter outfits that we had never worn prior to that day. Years before it was easy to snap a photo on a cell phone, our mother would get out the Brownie and make us pose in our Easter finery, so it’s fair to say we have a lot of photos of Easters past. Since I am vacationing with my sisters this Easter, I thought it would be fun to recreate some of those photos and, for some reason, they agreed. It was a very amusing activity that made us laugh, especially the one where we had to sit on, and then get up from, the floor.

I wish you all a happy Easter and hope you enjoy looking at these absurd photos as much as we enjoyed posing for them.

We got the bunny ears at an event we went to and just had to wear them, even though they don’t match the early photo.

The purses are bigger now and contain a lot more important stuff than a quarter for the collection plate.

This is my favorite. Because neither Norah nor I have really changed a bit.
